It came into existence as a result of us continually doing the same base support functions in all of our apps, be it Console, Web, Mobile (Xamarin Forms) etc, be it debug logs, log to file, crash reports (Sentry) externally of just logging events and page hits (AppCenter), so we built this, quick and simple and consistent throughout.
